Group 3 Discussion Questions. (The Third Person)


1. When Eddie finds a place to eat dinner, what the place looks like? (Inside/Outside)

2. When Eddie sees his dad, what is the Eddie’s feeling?

3. On page 106, here is a sentence “All parents damage their children”. Do you agree? If not, what’s your opinion?

4. After you read about Eddie’s father, is he a good father? Why or why not?

5. At the end, Eddie forgave his father? Why or why not?

    1. In the story, Eddie is blow up in the wind. In the real world, Ir's not usually happened.
    2. In the story. Eddie cannot feel cold because he is the heaven, but in the real world, everyone can feel cold.
    3. In the story, Eddie usually has a same dream when he is sleeping. In the real world, people usually have different dream.
    4. Eddie usually does not do anything when his father punch he. For me, if my father usually punch me, I will hate my father and do something for negative.

      "He reeled back to throw a punch, but Eddie moved on instinct and grabbed his father's arm mid-swing"
      according to this sentence, I just remember my father when I was a child, my father was very severe. Of course he usually punch me when i did a wrong things. First time my father punched me i felt very scary for my father and I did not do anything when my father punched me. However, after many times, I tried to avoided when he punched me. After that, I began have some negative situation for my father. In my opinion, father such as mountains,tall and lofty, let me look timid and afraid to climb. I think his father likes Eddie.

  4. The story back to Eddie's birthday 24 withe his parent, marguerite and Micky everyone sing happy birthday for him. Eddie noticed his father was looking down at the windowsill. Eddie hold his tears. The relationship between Eddie an his father was not good. Unfortunately he did not receive the worm feeling from his father.Eddies met old women she was the third person he did not know her. She worked at restaurant called Seahorse Grille. Eddie had used to have his breakfast. She talked about her life. The woman is named Ruby.
    Eddie had suffered after war in bad way. Back to Eddie 34 birthday. He back to home and suddenly Marguerite made for him small party. Then he received a call telling him that something happened to his father.Back to Ruby that she told her story and the death of his father and how he became Eddie work at Ruby Pier tocontinue his father’s job.
